VOICES AGAINST VIOLENCE: Below, you’ll find a video highlighting Joan and her husband’s journey as parents and dedicated advocates following the tragic loss of their daughter Abbie to domestic homicide. In this powerful and deeply personal story, they share their experiences, the profound grief they have endured, and the challenges they have faced in the aftermath of unimaginable loss. Guided by their love for their daughter, they have transformed their pain into purpose, dedicating themselves to raising awareness and advocating for meaningful change. Their path reflects extraordinary resilience, courage, and an unwavering commitment to preventing domestic violence and honouring their daughter’s memory.
December 4, 2025: Voices Against Violence Luncheon
We advocated during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence by organizing and hosting an event at the Saskatoon Club, selling tickets, and providing attendees with the opportunity to hear first-hand knowledge and information presented by Joan McDonald and the Status of Women’s Office from the Government of Saskatchewan.

October 24, 2025: GIN BASH!
Guests enjoyed the botanical elegance of a signature cocktail from Black Fox Farm and Distillery, toe-tapped to live music by the Toon Town Big Band, and took in all the sparkle of a 1920s-inspired evening — including a silent auction, 50/50 draw, delicious appetizers, and one complimentary signature cocktail with each $60 ticket.
It was a wonderful night of gin, glamour, and giving.
$18,000 WAS RAISED AT GIN BASH! THANK YOU! ALL PROCEEDS WENT TO THE EDUCATION OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN OUR PROVINCE!
Our club meets on the 4th Monday of each month from September to June. If you’d like to sit in and see what we’re all about, just reach out — we’d be happy to welcome you!
